The Mira Loma Detention Facility (MLDF) kitchen is located in the high desert of Lancaster and is currently managed by Food Services Manager Salvador Garcia. The MLDF kitchen prepares approximately 3,400 meals for the inmates and employee staff each day.
Mira Loma is contracted by the Immigration and Naturalization Service to house illegal immigrants until their immigration case is decided. We function as a regular County jail with the exception that the individuals we house are identified as detainees. Federal detainees representing over sixty countries worldwide. They are being detained at the facility via the I.N.S. until their case is decided.
