Clothing and Property:

Persons desiring to retrieve property and/or clothing for male inmates sentenced to state prison, should come to the Inmate Reception Center between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. The rationale for these time restrictions is that the items are stored in another location, not easily accessible except during this time.

Cashier:

To mail money to an inmate anywhere in the Los Angeles County Jail system send a Bank Cashier's Check, Money Order or Postal Money Order to P.O. Box 86164 Terminal Annex Los Angeles, CA 90086-0164. Refer to the Inmate Mail Regulations for further guidelines.

To deposit money for an inmate anywhere in the Los Angeles County Jail system in person there are two locations. The ashier's window in the lobby at IRC is open 24 hours, everyday. The cashier's office in the visiting center at the Pitches Detention Center is open on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

To withdraw money from an inmate's account you must obtain a Third Party Withdrawal Slip (pink money release form) from the visiting area. Procedures vary by facility, inquire at the visiting check in window. The withdrawal slip must be processed within 24 hours.

To post bail for an inmate or pay a fine, make the Cashier's Check payable to "Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department." This can only be done through the IRC cashiering office.
