 Staff  Nurse Sheriff Requirements
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of  Registered Nursing. Physical class "3" Moderate.

Classification Standards
Assignment to  inpatient areas and clinics for patient care on a rotating basis in  County Jail Facilities and perform professional work under supervision  of a Senior or a Supervising Staff Nurse, Sheriff.

Examples of  Duties
Provide prescribed medical treatment to patients.
Triage newly admitted  patients.
Make nursing evaluations of patient health problems.
Initiate and coordinate patient care plans.
Assist physicians with examinations.
Make entries into patient charts and medical records.
