PATRICK J. JORDAN PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN

Patrick J. Jordan, a 22-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, was recently promoted to the rank of Captain by Sheriff Lee Baca and assigned to the newly expanded Office of Homeland Security. He has assumed command of Transit Services North Bureau and oversees the bus, rail, and Metrolink law enforcement operations.

Captain Jordan’s law enforcement career began in 1983, when he attended the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Training Academy. Upon his graduation, his assignments included Pitchess Detention Center-East Facility and West Hollywood Station. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1994 and was assigned to Carson Station, Crescenta Valley Station, and Century Station. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2000 and was assigned to Compton Station, West Hollywood Station, and Transit Services Bureau.

Captain Jordan was born in Detroit, Michigan and currently resides in Northridge. He and his wife of 18 years, Pierrette, have two children: Sean, 16, and Jenna, 15, both are high school students. Captain Jordan earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge. In his spare time he enjoys jogging, reading and downhill skiing.
