PATTI A. MINUTELLO PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN

 

Patti A. Minutello, a 27-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, has been promoted to the rank of Captain by Sheriff Lee Baca and assigned to the Family Crimes Bureau.

Captain Minutello's career with the Sheriff's Department began in 1974, as a Deputy Sheriff Trainee. As a Deputy, she was assigned to Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center, Men's Central Jail, Custody Division Headquarters, Data Systems Bureau and Santa Clarita Valley Station. After she promoted to Sergeant, Captain Minutello was assigned to the North County Correctional Facility, West Hollywood Station, and Internal Affairs Bureau - Advocacy Unit. Later as a Lieutenant, she held assignments at Pitchess Detention Center - South Facility, West Hollywood Station, Crescenta Valley Station, and Field Operations Region I Headquarters.

Captain Minutello holds an Associate Arts Degree in History from Los Angeles Valley College. She furthered her studies at California State University, Fullerton, and majored in Political Science. She is also a recent graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session #208. She resides in Thousand Oaks with her husband Robert Minutello, a Sergeant at West Hollywood Station. Captain Minutello has two children, Britney, 22, a business and economics student at University of California, Santa Barbara, and Nicholas, 21, a music and business student at San Diego State University. In her spare time, Captain Minutello enjoys running, bicycling, traveling, and boating.
