ATTORNEYS SERVE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT WITH CARE PACKAGES
Some Lawyers are sending the men and women of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department a simple message, especially those who are serving in our nation's military, and that message is, they indeed care.
Sheriff's Department men and women gratefully received more than 200 pounds of hygiene and personal supplies from the Law Offices of Manning & Marder, Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, LLP in response to a "wish list" submitted by Department personnel who are currently on active military duty. The staff of Manning & Marder, Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, LLP, many who work closely with Sheriff's Department personnel by performing contracted legal services, made sure that the packages contained highly requested items such as zip lock bags, stationery items and stamps.
Deputy Mike Caprioli coordinated this effort by contacting Sheriff's personnel in the Persian Gulf and compiled a "wish list" according to their needs. In addition, the Peace Officers Professional Associations Federal Credit Union donated hundreds of pens and the Sheriffs' Relief Association donated funds to pay for the shipping cost of the items.
There are 93 men and women from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department activated by the military and serving in the numerous operations currently underway throughout the world.
In addition, two large packages were mailed to southland law enforcement personnel representing numerous agencies assigned to the United States Army's 382nd Military Police Detachment.
