EDWARD F. ROGNER PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN
Edward F. Rogner, a 30-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, has been promoted to the rank of Captain by Sheriff Lee Baca. Captain Rogner has assumed command of the Contract Law Enforcement Bureau which is responsible for administering the Department’s Contract Law Enforcement Program, monitoring and reporting on meetings of public agencies and government entities concerning matters of Department interest.
Captain Rogner’s law enforcement career began in 1974 when he attended the Sheriff Department’s Training Academy. As a Deputy Sheriff he worked the Men’s Central Jail, the Inmate Reception Center, Lakewood Station, and Court Services. After being promoted to Sergeant in 1989, he was assigned to Malibu/Lost Hills Station and the Contract Law Enforcement Bureau. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2000, and remained at the Contract Law Enforcement Bureau.
Captain Rogner resides in Los Angeles County with his wife, Rita, of 29 years. He has one daughter, Heather and a 8-month-old granddaughter, Andra. Captain Rogner attended the California State University, Polytechnic Pomona. In his spare time, Captain Rogner enjoys reading, biking, camping, and fishing. Additionally, he is currently attending the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
