SHERIFF BACA AWARDS DIPLOMAS
TO RESERVE CLASS #104

Eleven male Reserve Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department, along with two male and three female Reserve Officers from five police agencies graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Training Academy in a ceremony held Monday night, July 25, 2005, in the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors’ Hearing Room.

In presenting the certificates of graduation to Reserve Class #104, Sheriff Lee Baca was joined by officials from the police departments of El Rancho Unified School District, Glendale Parks and Recreation, Glendora, La Verne, and Pasadena.

To prepare themselves for this law enforcement endeavor, the graduates participated in all-day training classes on Sundays, along with two weekday evening training classes each week. In order to reach various levels of Reserve status, graduates are required to complete 477 to 921 hours of intensive training.

Those interested in receiving additional information on the Reserve Program may contact their nearest Sheriff’s Station.
