MARY D. CAMPBELL PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN
|
Mary D. Campbell, a 35-year law enforcement veteran, was recently promoted to the rank of Captain by Sheriff Lee Baca and has assumed command of the Marina del Rey Station. Marina del Rey Station provides law enforcement services to the City of Marina Del Rey, and the unincorporated areas of Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills, and View Park. Captain Campbell’s law enforcement career began in 1971. After graduating from the Training Academy as a Deputy Sheriff, she worked at various assignments, including Industry Station, Pre-employment, and Internal Affairs Bureau. Upon being promoted to Sergeant in 1988, Captain Campbell worked at the Training Bureau and Walnut Station. In 2000 she was promoted to Lieutenant and worked at Norwalk Station before transferring to Administrative Services Division - Headquarters Operations / Personnel Administration. Captain Campbell, a California native, resides in Whittier with her
husband, Doyle. She is the mother of two grown children: Jennifer, 30,
who is a Marketing / Orthadontal Dental Assistant and student, and Travis,
28, who is a Psychiatric Technician and student. In her spare time Captain
Campbell enjoys jogging, playing golf, working out, traveling and spending
time with her family.
