ASSISTANT
SHERIFF CAMPBELL AWARDS DIPLOMAS
TO RESERVE CLASS #96
Thirteen male and five female Reserve Deputies from the Sheriff's Department, along with three male Reserve Officers from three police agencies, graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Training Academy in a ceremony held Monday night, July 28, 2003, in the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors' Hearing Room.
In presenting the certificates of graduation to Reserve Class #96, Assistant Sheriff R. Doyle Campbell was joined by officials from the Orange County Sheriff's Department and the police departments of La Verne and Monterey Park.
To prepare themselves for this law enforcement endeavor, the graduates participated in all-day training classes on Sundays along with two weekday evening training classes each week. In order to reach various levels of Reserve status, graduates are required to complete from 217 to 816 hours of intensive training.
Those interested in receiving additional information on the reserve program may contact their nearest Sheriff's Station.
