CONRAD MEREDITH PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR, BUREAU OPERATIONS


Conrad Meredith, a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department since May of 1999, was promoted to the rank of Director, Bureau Operations by Sheriff Lee Baca. He will oversee the Financial Programs Bureau, which is responsible for the Department’s budget, item control, revenue, supply warehouse/logistics, and property and evidence.

Mr. Meredith’s career with the Sheriff’s Department began in 1999 as a Principal Program Analyst at the Administrative Services Division. He was promoted shortly thereafter to Administrative Services Manager III to head the Budget Services Unit and later managed the Special Accounts Unit. In 2004 Mr. Meredith was promoted to Assistant Director, Bureau Operations.

Mr. Meredith is a native of Los Angeles and attended Loyola High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Mr. Meredith resides in Inglewood with his wife of 17 years, Lisa, and their
13-year-old son Gavin. His daughter, Jade, is a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, outdoor activities, natural history, social studies, and spending time with family and friends.

Commenting on his career and life in general, Mr. Meredith said, “A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. Be prepared for opportunity.”
