In 1926, Temple Station was established as Station Number 5.

It has had at least 4 different locations over the years, but it has been at its current site since 1957.

To date, Temple Station has lost two of its Deputies . The first to give his life in the service of Temple Station Community was Deputy Harold S. Blevins in 1957. He was responding to a robbery in progress call where he was shot by a career criminal and recent parolee. The second and hopefully the last was Deputy David W. March in 2002. He too was shot by a career criminal, who fled the country to escape prosecution. Deputy March's killer has since been captured, convicted, and sentenced.

Board of Supervisors:

Temple Station's patrol area encompasses two County Supervisorial Districts. The First District is represented by Gloria Molina and the Fifth District represented by Michael Antonovich.

Volunteers:

Temple Station benefits from a high level of community involvement with our volunteer, reserve deputy and explorer programs.

We currently have twenty-three Sheriff's Explorers, twenty-eight Search and Rescue Team members, eight mounted Posse members, eighteen Reserve Deputies, ninety-six civilian volunteers involved in Hamwatch, Clergy, Volunteers on Patrol, Station Volunteers and Booster Programs.
